#MyLASexEd Campaign Organizing Toolkit

The #MyLASexEd campaign partners with student organizations on campuses across the state to promote access to medically accurate sexual health education in Louisiana public schools and tell the truth about abstinence-only education.

Campaign Goals:

  • Harness the power of storytelling to engage Louisianans, inspire action, and strengthen support for medically accurate sexual health education.

  • Challenge abstinence-only policies and the misinformation that young people are receiving from these sexual health education programs.

​​

  • Increase public awareness of the importance of sexual health education.

​​

  • Educate the media on issues related to sexual health education.

​​

  • Advocate for policies that promote medically accurate and comprehensive sexual health education at local and state levels.

Have #MyLASexEd storytellers fill out the story sheet and pose for a photo with their completed story to create more dynamic social media content.
